Spring Program | Overview |
The DYSA Spring Soccer program is affiliated with the South Coast Soccer League (SCSL)
of MA. Schedules and results can be found at the SCSL website provided here: http://www.scsl.org/.
This is a competitive travel team situation. These teams compete against other teams in the South Coast area, which is made up of 22
different towns in Southeastern MA., the Cape and Islands. The age groups that the league sponsors are U8 - U19 boys and girls. Only children at
least 7 years old by August 1st of the previous year are old enough to play in the Spring Program.
Sign ups are held during the
Fall Soccer season for both players and coaches who are interested in being involved in the spring season. Open tryouts are held in mid to late OCTOBER
during which the coaches choose the players for each team. DYSA tries to place each child on a team but making a team is not guaranteed.
The spring season starts the first week in April. All Division 1 teams from U11 upward have a chance to make the MTOC at the end of the season
that is held in late June.
Once again this is a competitive league environment and should be treated as such. Answers to FAQs:
*We do not have a spring recreational program. *Young children (those under the age of 7 by Aug. 1st of the prior year) are not eligible to play in our
Spring Competitive Program. *The team selection process is made in early November.
